Microsoft SQL Server management and support in India

SQL Server often sits behind accounting and business applications, so an unnoticed full disk or missing backup can stop a company. The routine work is patching, backups with test restores, maintenance jobs and watching disk and memory. RootManage looks after the server side of SQL Server and the maintenance basics. Deep database administration is a separate speciality that we will tell you plainly when it is needed.

What our engineers handle on Microsoft SQL Server

This is the hands-on work, done by a person: the jobs the automatic tools cannot do for you.

  1. 1Apply cumulative updates and Windows updates in a planned window
  2. 2Schedule full, differential and log backups and test a restore
  3. 3Run index and statistics maintenance and consistency checks
  4. 4Watch disk, memory, tempdb and failed jobs

Problems we fix

Problem

The transaction log has filled the disk

What we do

We check the recovery model and log backups, free space safely and set up log backups so it does not repeat.

Problem

Backups run but nobody has tested a restore

What we do

We restore the latest backup on another server, record the time and fix what fails.

Problem

The application is slow since last week

What we do

We look at blocking, missing indexes and recent changes, and report what we find to your developers.

Automatic tools, and our team for the rest

RootManage is automatic server management with every tool in one place. The tools run by themselves on a schedule and report to one dashboard. Everything they cannot do, and every emergency, is handled by our engineers by hand.

Manual, by our engineers

Everything else, and every emergency

  • Hands-on work. Fixes, tuning, migrations, upgrades and the other jobs listed above on this page.
  • Emergency work. A hacked site, an outage or a failed update is handled by a person who investigates and fixes it, not by a script.
  • Things we do not automate. Anything the tools do not cover is done by hand, over SSH, WHM or RDP, on a login you can remove at any time.

The tools are optional, run on Linux servers and are installed by you with one command each. Every job our team does is recorded as a task in your dashboard with the details, and you get an email when it is updated.

How it works

  1. 1

Create an account, choose a plan and add the server you want managed.

  2. 2

    Give access

We connect over RDP or SSH on a login you create, and you can remove it whenever you like.

  3. 3

    Automatic, with people behind it

An engineer checks the server on the schedule we agree and does the hands-on work. You follow every task in your dashboard.

Questions about Microsoft SQL Server

Do you provide SQL Server licences?

No. The licences stay with you or your provider. We manage the servers you license.

Do you handle high availability like Always On?

We can maintain existing setups and help plan new ones. Complex designs may need a specialist DBA, and we say so.

What does it cost to have Microsoft SQL Server managed?

Managed plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server, and Microsoft SQL Server is managed as part of the server. The pricing page lists what each plan includes. If a server is already infected, the emergency cleanup is a one-time ₹9,000 job.
