About Metrics agent
The Metrics agent takes a small sample of your server every five minutes and sends it to your dashboard, where it becomes charts. It is separate from the Server Health agent, so you can have one without the other.
What it does
- Samples CPU, memory, disk, load, cores and network speed every five minutes
- Shows the history as charts in your dashboard
- Uses a low priority so it does not slow your sites
What it does not do
- It does not send alerts by itself
- It does not store your files or your site data
Schedule: Every 5 minutes
How it updates
The agent can update itself on request. It shares the same key as the Server Health agent, and updating it does not remove the Health agent.
sudo rootmanage-metrics --updateMetrics agent version history
- v1.0.0New
Metrics agent launched
A separate small agent that draws CPU, memory, disk and network charts for your server.

- Charts and history in your dashboard
- Separate from Server Health and Backup, with a low priority
- Updates itself on request with rootmanage-metrics --update

- Almost no extra load on the server
- Installing it does not remove the Server Health agent
What to do. Install it with the command from your dashboard.
Questions about Metrics agent updates
How do I update the Metrics agent?
Run sudo rootmanage-metrics --update. You can check the installed version with rootmanage-metrics --version.
Does it need the Server Health agent?
No. It works on its own, and it can share the same key as the Health agent when both are installed.
