VMware ESXi management and support in India

ESXi runs virtual machines on your own hardware, and the work is in keeping hosts patched, datastores healthy, snapshots under control and backups running. Licensing and product changes have also pushed many teams to review their platform. RootManage manages ESXi hosts and the virtual machines on them, and helps plan moves to other platforms when you want that.

What our engineers handle on VMware ESXi

This is the hands-on work, done by a person: the jobs the automatic tools cannot do for you.

  1. 1Patch ESXi hosts one at a time and check the VMs afterwards
  2. 2Monitor datastores, hardware health and network settings
  3. 3Control snapshots and set up VM backups with tested restores
  4. 4Plan a migration to Proxmox, KVM or Hyper-V if you choose to move

Problems we fix

Problem

A datastore is almost full

What we do

We find old snapshots and large disks, clean up safely and plan more storage.

Problem

VMs are slow because of a forgotten snapshot

What we do

We consolidate the snapshot chain at a quiet time and set rules so snapshots do not linger.

Problem

A host failed and VMs are down

What we do

We bring the VMs up on another host or repair the host, and review how to avoid a repeat.

Automatic tools, and our team for the rest

RootManage is automatic server management with every tool in one place. The tools run by themselves on a schedule and report to one dashboard. Everything they cannot do, and every emergency, is handled by our engineers by hand.

Manual, by our engineers

Everything else, and every emergency

  • Hands-on work. Fixes, tuning, migrations, upgrades and the other jobs listed above on this page.
  • Emergency work. A hacked site, an outage or a failed update is handled by a person who investigates and fixes it, not by a script.
  • Things we do not automate. Anything the tools do not cover is done by hand, over SSH, WHM or RDP, on a login you can remove at any time.

The tools are optional, run on Linux servers and are installed by you with one command each. Every job our team does is recorded as a task in your dashboard with the details, and you get an email when it is updated.

How it works

  1. 1

Create an account, choose a plan and add the server you want managed.

  2. 2

    Give access

We connect over RDP or SSH on a login you create, and you can remove it whenever you like.

  3. 3

    Automatic, with people behind it

An engineer checks the server on the schedule we agree and does the hands-on work. You follow every task in your dashboard.

Questions about VMware ESXi

Do you handle VMware licences?

No. Licences stay with you or your reseller. We work on the hosts you have licensed.

Can you move us off VMware?

Yes. We plan the conversion of machines to the new platform, test them and move in stages.

What does it cost to have VMware ESXi managed?

Managed plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server, and VMware ESXi is managed as part of the server. The pricing page lists what each plan includes. If a server is already infected, the emergency cleanup is a one-time ₹9,000 job.
