pfSense and OPNsense management and support in India

pfSense and OPNsense are firewall and router systems that sit at the edge of an office or data centre. Rules pile up over the years, updates are put off and the configuration is often not backed up. RootManage reviews rules, keeps the firewall updated, sets up VPN and high availability and backs up the configuration.

What our engineers handle on pfSense and OPNsense

This is the hands-on work, done by a person: the jobs the automatic tools cannot do for you.

  1. 1Review and clean firewall and NAT rules
  2. 2Set up site-to-site and remote access VPNs
  3. 3Apply updates in a planned window, with a configuration backup first
  4. 4Configure high availability and monitor interfaces and gateways

Problems we fix

Problem

Nobody knows what half the rules do

What we do

We document and group the rules, remove the unused ones and test that nothing needed breaks.

Problem

A VPN tunnel is up but traffic does not flow

What we do

We check phase settings, routes and rules on both sides and fix the mismatch.

Problem

An update failed on the firewall

What we do

We restore the configuration backup, repeat the update carefully and verify.

Automatic tools, and our team for the rest

RootManage is automatic server management with every tool in one place. The tools run by themselves on a schedule and report to one dashboard. Everything they cannot do, and every emergency, is handled by our engineers by hand.

Manual, by our engineers

Everything else, and every emergency

  • Hands-on work. Fixes, tuning, migrations, upgrades and the other jobs listed above on this page.
  • Emergency work. A hacked site, an outage or a failed update is handled by a person who investigates and fixes it, not by a script.
  • Things we do not automate. Anything the tools do not cover is done by hand, over SSH, WHM or RDP, on a login you can remove at any time.

The tools are optional, run on Linux servers and are installed by you with one command each. Every job our team does is recorded as a task in your dashboard with the details, and you get an email when it is updated.

How it works

  1. 1

Create an account, choose a plan and add the server you want managed.

  2. 2

    Give access

We connect over RDP or SSH on a login you create, and you can remove it whenever you like.

  3. 3

    Automatic, with people behind it

An engineer checks the server on the schedule we agree and does the hands-on work. You follow every task in your dashboard.

Questions about pfSense and OPNsense

pfSense or OPNsense?

They share a history and similar features. We manage both and pick by your preferences and hardware.

Do you manage firewalls on physical devices?

Yes, when we can reach them over a secure remote connection. We agree the access first.

What does it cost to have pfSense and OPNsense managed?

Managed plans start at ₹1,999 a month for one server, and pfSense and OPNsense is managed as part of the server. The pricing page lists what each plan includes. If a server is already infected, the emergency cleanup is a one-time ₹9,000 job.
