Many CentOS servers moved to AlmaLinux after CentOS 7 and CentOS 8 reached end of life. It is a common choice for hosting servers and cPanel. We keep it patched and secure, and we help servers that are still on old CentOS make the move.
What we manage on AlmaLinux
- Updates with dnf, kernel updates and reboot planning
- SELinux and firewalld set up so they protect without breaking sites
- cPanel and WHM, EasyApache, PHP versions and AutoSSL
- Apache, Nginx, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and Redis
- Backups of files and databases, with restore help
- Monitoring of load, memory, disk and uptime, with alerts
Problems we fix on AlmaLinux
- Servers still running CentOS 7 or 8 with no security updates
- SELinux switched off because it "broke something"
- Mail queues, blacklists and spam from hosted accounts
- Full disks and inode limits on hosting servers
- A migration from CentOS that nobody has time to plan
Upgrades and end of support
If you still run CentOS, we plan a safe move to AlmaLinux, either as an in-place conversion where it is suitable or as a migration to a new server, with a backup and tests. For AlmaLinux we track the release and plan upgrades before support ends.
